It's going to be like getting a Ph.D. in Thinking!

Cognitive Maturity lays out a hierarchically structured design to thinking that looks at the levels of complexity a person uses and has the capacity to apply to making sense of the world-at-large. Essentially, the more cognitively mature a person's thinking, the more capable they are of holding multiple, and opposing, concepts in mind at once. At higher levels of cognitive maturity more possible opportunities and outcomes become available to the individual. More pathways to realize any of those potential outcomes are perceived as possible too. In addition, the more developed a person's cognitive maturity, the more capable they become of noticing possible inhibitions, road blocks and event horizons that could limit or stop them from achieving their outcomes. A cognitively mature individual will naturally perceive positive and negative consequences of their decisions and the action they intend to take. Individuals who have a more developed level of cognitive maturity will notice more about what is present and what is possible with less evidence required to alert them, and they will more quickly arrive at their conclusions based on the observation and analysis of the data they are noticing. Ultimately a cognitively mature person will make better decisions and take action more effectively as a result of the level of cognitive maturity they are operating from in achieving their outcomes on their own and with others.

If you participate in the full masterclass series you'll receive a Certificate in Applied Cognitive Maturity Development Specialist from the ABTI | Joseph Riggio International/ Applied Behavioral Technologies Institute, and can list that as part of your professional credentials. In addition you'll have the know-how and skills to apply the enactivist model of cognition we'll be working with in any work you do with others, like coaching or training them to be more cognitively effective.

This program is the culmination of more than seven years of intensive study and preparation to shift  to a more integrated model of presenting information. The entire way I'll be presenting material going forward, rather than focusing on individual programs that are topically specific, will be organized as deep learning designed to build significant applied skills over time in connected and integrated training programs.

Most of the material in the Masterclass Series comes from my own work in developmental learning and cognition. Developmentalists like Clare W. Graves, Jane Loevinger, Susan Cook-Guerter, William Torbet, David Rook and Ken Wilber are also deeply represented. In addition, a number of sources from neurophilosophy, cognitive science, complexity and some from the world of AI are present too, especially from the enactivism/enaction models that look at the mind extended in relation to our interactions in the world.

They won't be very academic as all, as the entire program is designed to be extremely practical and applied. Our focus will be on developing deep awareness of how each topic in the masterclass series fits into an applied model of thinking better in terms of taking action in the world, and applying that thinking to real-life issues for each participant. After completing the program you'll have integrated the sessions into how you think and process information naturally and without effort.
